East Coast Custard

If you live in Mentor, you’ve probably heard of East Coast Custard. They’ve been making excellent frozen custard since 1985, and they’re now available in five locations—so no matter where you are, there’s an East Coast near you! Make the drive in your spacious 2022 Kia Sportage, and you’ll have plenty of room for the family to spread out. With a range of roomy trims and seating configurations, you can be sure everyone has space for their gear on the way.

East Coast Custard makes their frozen custard the traditional way—with real egg yolks and cream! They have over 100 flavor recipes to choose from—but only a few are available daily. Check out their daily calendar and see the flavors available at each location. Some of our favorites are Nutti Butti and orange creamsicle! They rotate the flavors—so every time you visit is like opening a surprise gift.

Biggie’s Custard

Biggie’s Custard is a shop located near Mentor-on-the-Lake. They’ve been around for seventy years and are known for their phenomenal frozen treats and soft serve. They serve hand-dipped and soft-serve frozen custard, including dairy-free, vegan, and no-sugar-added options. Try one of their sundaes like Caramel Cookie Dough or Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle! Or try out one of their 20-plus specialty flavors like butter pecan or amaretto.  

Biggie’s Custard is located steps from Lake Erie and Mentor Beach Park. They offer takeout only!

Scooter’s World Famous Dawg House

Scooter’s World Famous Dawg House is the perfect spot to enjoy the sweet combination of premium iced desserts, soft serve, sundaes like hot fudge brownie delight, or floats. Scooter’s has been a local favorite for 22 years and is located at 9600 Blackbrook Rd. in Mentor.  

Scooter’s World Famous Dawg House is your one-stop shop for a casual, fun time. They specialize in hot dogs and sundaes, so you can’t get much better than that! This award-winning restaurant has great sweet treats like the Grease Monkey with vanilla, pecans, hot fudge, and whipped cream. They offer dine-in and curbside pickup but no delivery.
