About the Kia Stinger

Striking design, premium amenities, and potent performance help illustrate that the Kia Stinger was engineered as a true Grand Touring sedan. Bold rear-wheel drive proportions combined with a sleek fastback profile help give the Stinger an instantly-recognizable appearance. Step inside and you'll find yourself surrounded by luxurious accents including satin chrome trim, metal-ringed gauges, and aircraft-style spoked vents. Your choice of two available turbocharged engines mated to a responsive second-generation 8-speed automatic transmission with 5 individual drive modes will help invigorate your commute behind the wheel of the Stinger. Accessing your favorite apps and media is effortless thanks to available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. The new paradigm of gran turismo, the Kia Stinger is an entirely different breed of sports sedan.

What The Critics Say

"For drivers in single-minded pursuit of straight-line speed, the Stinger GT does not disappoint. The Stinger has mastered straight-line speed and the last version we tested returned solid numbers during our track testing.” - Car and Driver

"With either engine, the 2022 Stinger is a true sports sedan (although the sedan part is arguable). There’s poise and grip, both of which are amplified by all-wheel drive and the GT2’s adaptive suspension. Yet it can also handle commutes and long trips with comfort and serenity."-- Market Watch

Kia Stinger Exterior

What’s New for 2022

The Kia Stinger is thoroughly revised for 2022. Outside, you’ll find subtle styling tweaks that make a gorgeous car look even better. Inside, material quality has improved, moving the Kia Stinger upmarket in a way that is sure to frustrate some of its German competition. Adjustable ambient lighting is also new, as well as a larger 10.25-inch center touchscreen with navigation.

The big news, however, is under the hood. The 2022 Stinger’s base engine is a new 2.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder, good for an impressive 300 horsepower and 311 lb/ft of torque. That’s good for a 5.2 second 0-60 time. Kia engineers didn’t ignore the larger 3.3 liter twin-turbo V6 – a new variable exhaust system bumps horsepower up to 368.

Kia Stinger Features

Kia Stinger Exterior Styling

Bold Styling

Longer and wider than a BMW 4 Gran Coupe and with a longer wheelbase than the Lexus GS -- the Kia Stinger offers the perfect blend of elegance and athleticism. Turn your attention to the rear and you'll notice quad oval exhaust pipes which provide a muscular tone as you step on the accelerator. Its wide front and rear track combined with recessed contours along the doors highlight the commanding stance of the Kia Stinger. Enhanced aerodynamics are a result of functional air intakes and curtains at the front, a smooth underbody, and a rear diffuser found on Stinger GT models. Complex LED headlamps accent the signature Kia "tiger-nose" grille at the front of the Stinger.

Kia Stinger Twin-Turbo Engine

Blistering Performance

Get your adrenaline pumping with your choice of a standard 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower or an optional 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 which cranks out 368 horsepower with a governed top speed of 167 MPH. Offering more power than the Audi S5 Sportback, BMW 440i Gran Coupe, and Infiniti Q50 -- the Stinger is ready to take on the competition. The Stinger GT offers an impressive 0-60 acceleration time of only 4.7 seconds -- faster than a six-cylinder Porsche Panamera.

As the first Kia sedan offered with rear- or all-wheel drive, the Stinger can excel in any type of climate. Featuring a new Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control system which monitors driver inputs and automatically applies power and braking force accordingly, the AWD system on the Stinger is rear-wheel biased for optimal control in the wet or dry. Standard high-performance Brembo® disc brakes featuring quad-piston front calipers and dual-piston rear calipers provide superior stopping power.

View performance data such as lap times, cornering G-forces, and engine oil temperature via a color TFT display screen located between the gauges.
