What's New for 2022
Following a complete model refresh last year, the Kia Sorento returns for 2022 with even more key updates and revisions to its successful formula. First, S trim levels and above all now come standard with a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation and telematics. Additionally, drivers can now choose from three newly-available trim levels -- X-Line S, X-Line EX, and X-Line SX Prestige. These new trims feature rugged exterior design cues and other premium features. Finally, Wolf Grey makes its debut as a new exterior color choice on the 2022 Kia Sorento.

Bold Exterior
A true departure from the rounded curves of the prior generation, the Kia Sorento sports a more upright appearance thanks to chiseled lines and aggressive styling cues. Examples of style enhancements include the modernized Kia “tiger nose” front fascia, standard LED headlamps with optional signature LED forward lighting, distinctive dynamic wave shape at the base of the C pillar, and a total of six different alloy wheel designs ranging from 17-inches to 20-inches. The 3rd generation “N3” platform is lighter, stronger, and more flexible than previous models. This has resulted in an increased wheelbase by nearly 1.4 inches and overall weight reduction by 3.1% (119 pounds).

The Kia Sorento offers buyers their choice of three individual powertrains designed to suit virtually any type of driving style. Standard power comes in the form of a 2.5-liter GDI 4-cylinder producing 191 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Craving more muscle? Step up to the available 2.5-liter GDI 4-cylinder Turbo to receive a total of 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft torque along with a segment-exclusive 8-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission. If efficiency is what you’re after, the optional 1.6-liter GDI 4-cylinder Turbo Hybrid with 44 kW electric motor delivers up to an EPA-estimated 39 city / 35 highway / 37 combined MPG. Gasoline engines are available with an AWD system featuring torque-vectoring and a center-locking differential.
