2022 Kia EV6

The 2022 EV6 is available in five trim levels: Light, Wind (RWD), Wind (e-AWD), GT-Line (RWD) and GT-Line (e-AWD). It has a sleek look that resembles a cross between an SUV and a sports car. The wide headlights have daytime running lights wrapped around them, and the exterior has plenty of attractive curves. There's also a narrow upper grille with Kia lettering right above it. Standard features include tinted glass, automatic high beams, 6.1 inches of ground clearance, heated power side mirrors with turn signals, 19-inch wheels, and a spoiler. A power liftgate is optional. Available colors are Interstellar Gray, Glacier, Snow White Pearl, Gravity Blue, Steel Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Yacht Blue, Runway Red, and Steel Matte Gray.

The EV6 is available with four-wheel or rear-wheel drive, and it uses a one-speed automatic transmission. With rear-wheel drive, you can choose a motor with a 58-kWh battery that gives 167 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque or a motor with a 77.4-kWh battery that produces 225 horsepower. With all-wheel drive, you'll get the larger battery and an engine that generates 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque.

The all-wheel-drive models have impressive acceleration, and they can reach 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. This vehicle can go up to 310 miles with one charge, and it supports 400-volt and 800-volt DC fast-charging units. Charging can take as little as half an hour, and you can tow up to 2,300 pounds. The responsive steering is ideal for driving down packed city streets or navigating densely populated parking lots.

Interior features include two 12-volt DC power outlets, cruise control with controls on the heated leatherette steering wheel, a metallic gear shifter, and automatic door locks. You'll also get a day-night rearview mirror, heated front and rear seats, remote start, wireless charging, and one-touch power windows. The voice-activated HVAC system has ducts in the headliner and side pillars and under the seats to cool and heat the cabin quickly. The dual, panoramic, 12.3-inch screens have blue light filters to reduce eyestrain. This vehicle has 24.4 cubic feet of cargo space — 50.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. You can add a head-up display, a garage door opener, a 120-volt AC power outlet, and a sport steering wheel. Other options include cooled front seats, ambient lighting, and a 14-speaker sound system with a subwoofer and an amplifier.

A variety of safety features help protect you and your passengers, including an emergency SOS system, front and rear collision mitigation and avoidance, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assistance, and lane departure warning. Rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assistance, and braking assistance are included as well. You can choose parallel and perpendicular parking assistance, a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot monitoring, and blind-spot collision avoidance.
