About the 2022 Kia Carnival MPV
The all-new Kia Carnival will change the way you think about minivans. It’ll change the way you think about SUVs, too. In fact, it’ll change the way you think about driving. Bold styling, impressive features and unmatched versatility make the Carnival stand out in its class. Calling it a “fun ride” would be an understatement. The Carnival boasts best-in-class power, best-in-class passenger and cargo space, and standard collision avoidance technology. With seating for up to 8, you can bring along the whole family – and then some. The standard Slide-Flex seating system makes reconfiguring the interior a breeze. It’s now easier than ever to customize your interior for any combination of people and cargo that you can imagine. Best of all, it will all travel in an ideal blend of comfort, safety, and style. Any manufacturer will tell you that they offer the best family car, but with the Carnival, Kia has the goods to back that statement up with real muscle.
What the Critics Say
““Large wheels, crossover-like proportions, and signature daytime running lights that flow into the grille give the van an upscale-SUV vibe that reminds us of a Range Rover.” - Car and Driver
"“The combination of relatively soft springs and tires with plenty of sidewall delivers a plushness that won't wake the baby in the back seat if you hit a pothole. More impressive, though, the Carnival exhibits next to no body roll and minimal secondary ride motions. It's genuinely fun to drive.” - Motor Trend
All New for 2021
The Kia Carnival replaces the long-running Sedona nameplate, updating it for the roaring ‘20s with new styling, new features, and a new way to think about the minivan concept. Of course, the lessons learned from the highly successful Sedona have been put to good use. Kia dubs this new type of vehicle an “MPV,” or “Multi-Purpose Vehicle.” It seamlessly combines your favorite parts of a minivan with the best attributes of an SUV or crossover.
Kia Carnival Features

Roomy & Versatile Interior
While the bold, rugged exterior of the Carnival evokes SUV styling, the cavernous interior takes advantage of the best parts of the minivan concept. The flat floor and tall roof mean that headroom and legroom are never a problem, and the Slide Flex seats make it a snap to reconfigure the interior to hold an ideal combination of people and their stuff. Speaking of which, there’s 11 cupholders on board, as well as six USB charging ports, two three-prong household outlets, and two 12-volt accessory outlets. Wireless charging is also available. Available options such as rear seat entertainment, 12 speaker Bose® premium audio, and dual power tilting and sliding sunroofs let you make the most out of any road trip. Need the most room possible? With the second and third row removed, you’ll find even more space than the massive Chevrolet Suburban – 145.1 cubic feet in the Carnival compared to 144.7 cubic feet in the Suburban.

Impressive Safety Features
Your family’s safety is the single most important attribute for buyers. Thankfully, the Kia Carnival comes well-equipped with a host of standard safety features. The suite of safety tech includes lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning, driver attention warning, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring, and automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection. More advanced features, such as adaptive cruise control, are available as well. No matter where you’re going, the Kia Carnival is keeping an electronic eye out for you at all times.

Cutting-Edge Technology
Of course, the technology doesn’t just keep you safer. It makes your drive more enjoyable and makes your life easier, too. The Kia Carnival is available with a Smart Power Tailgate that makes loading and unloading easier. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as well as an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen. However, dual 12.3-inch screens are available as well. Three-zone climate control is also available, as well as one-touch power windows. Bluetooth phone and audio streaming and voice recognition are standard on all trim levels of the Kia Carnival.
