What’s New for 2022
The dynamic Kia Soul receives a handful of key changes and revisions for the 2022 model year. In terms of its exterior appearance, shoppers will notice the new Kia badge on the hood, liftgate, and wheel center caps. Last year’s LX with manual transmission variant has been discontinued. S, X-Line and GT-Line models now come standard with a 10.25-inch display screen with navigation, dual automatic climate control, push-button start with engine immobilizer, wireless smartphone charger, and dual USB chargers. Finally, a new LX Technology Package is available for 2022 and includes 16-inch alloy wheels along with several advanced driver-assistance systems.

Completely redesigned for its third generation, the Kia Soul lets you hit the streets in style. At the front, the Soul stands out with a larger grille with unique two-tone treatment, slim-design daytime running lights, and front fender details. Its distinctive C-pillars are designed to resemble airplane wings and wear a new garnish featuring a “Soul” graphic. The Soul’s fun-to-drive personality is evident in its selection of drivetrain combinations. Its standard 2.0-liter Nu four-cylinder engine produces 147 horsepower and comes paired to an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). For those looking for more zip, Turbo models include the optional 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged I-4 GDI engine which makes 201 horsepower and comes standard with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for exceptional response.

Taking inspiration from the “emotional visualization of sound”, Kia engineers designed the interior of the Soul with technology as a top priority. An available 10.25-inch HD color touchscreen with split screen function is your command center for multimedia functions along with a rear-view monitor featuring parking guidance. Optional sound mood lighting emits soft light from a unique 3D pattern surface and can synchronize to the beat of your music. Offering twice the wattage of the prior generation, the available 640-watt Harman Kardon audio system includes a total of 10 speakers and an amplifier.
